green beyond the logo
The sustainability concept of dc AG
We want to be part of the solution
At dc, it’s not just the logo that’s green. We want to embed sustainable and responsible action into every part of our everyday business. That’s exactly why our sustainability concept is called green beyond the logo. For many years, we’ve been deeply engaged with the topic of sustainability and continue to evolve our concept year after year. With clear actions, concrete goals, and the ambition to get measurably better every single year.
For our environment
We want this planet to remain a place worth living on - today and for future generations. Climate change, biodiversity loss, and resource scarcity are real challenges, and we don’t want to just stand by and watch. That’s why we question our processes, reduce our CO₂ footprint, and use energy and resources more consciously. Not perfectly, but with a clear commitment to getting better every year.
For our team
We create a work environment that is healthy, fair, and built to last. That includes modern work models, a high level of personal ownership, flat hierarchies, and space for personal balance. Team activities like Vegan Wednesdays, Plogging Days, and taking part in STADTRADELN make sure sustainability doesn’t stay just a concept, but becomes part of our everyday life.
For our society
Our understanding of sustainability is holistic. In addition to protecting the environment and climate, we also get involved socially, culturally, and regionally. Because for us, a region worth living in is just as much a part of sustainable action as ecological responsibility and social commitment. That’s why we support projects that strengthen community and help keep our region livable for the long term.
Our sustainability measures
For us, sustainability is an ongoing process. Every year, we roll out new measures - from ambitious topics like CO2 tracking to initiatives like our Plogging Day, where we head outdoors as a team and collect trash. Over time, lots of small steps turn into real, visible progress.
We donate at least 5% of our annual company profits to charitable and sustainable associations and organizations every year.
The podcast about our sustainability concept
In 12 episodes of the green beyond the logo podcast, Lisa and Tobi talk with different team members and external experts about the sustainability concept of dc AG and share inspiring insights into our green everyday life. And we don’t stop at theory: We also take a look at how sustainability is being put into practice in other companies and industries - and share practical, inspiring ideas for getting started yourselves.

Your contact for sustainability: Lisa Köppel
I’m Lisa, and at dc I’m responsible for sustainability. Since 2020, I’ve been supporting our sustainability area and making sure good intentions turn into concrete action.
We’re not a corporation with our own sustainability department. That’s why I manage this topic alongside my role as Team Lead in online marketing. I plan our annual measures, report regularly to the team, and motivate colleagues to get involved in activities like Plogging Day. My goal is to keep sustainability practical in everyday life at dc - and to make sure it’s truly lived.
