Plogging Day 2026

On 21.04.2026, it was that time again for us: get outside, get moving, and do something good along the way. For dc Plogging Day, the dc team was out in Kulmbach, spread across remote locations, and this year even in Croatia. As part of our sustainability concept "green beyond the logo", our colleagues picked up what doesn’t belong in nature. Simple as that - just while out for a walk. Every step counts when it comes to our environment. 

What’s behind plogging?

The term combines the Swedish word „plocka“ (to pick up) with jogging. The idea: combine exercise with environmental action - just head outside and collect litter. The trend started in Sweden in 2016 and has since spread around the world.

How dc Plogging Day worked:

• Planned routes around our Kulmbach location
• Remote participation possible from anywhere - this time even internationally thanks to a workation in Croatia
• Out in small groups or individually on personal routes
• Equipped with litter pickers, gloves, trash bags & snacks
• Result: lots of full bags and a few unexpected finds 

Our takeaway: It’s always surprising to see what ends up in nature - and at the same time motivating to see how much you can change together 🤝
