Plogging Day 2026

On April 21, 2026, it was time again: get outside, get moving, and do some good along the way. For dc Plogging Day, the dc team was out in Kulmbach, working remotely from all over, and this year even in Croatia. As part of our sustainability concept "green beyond the logo", our colleagues picked up everything that doesn’t belong in nature. Super easy while out for a walk – every step counts when it comes to protecting our planet.

What’s behind Plogging?

The word comes from Swedish: “plocka” (to pick up) and jogging. The idea: combine exercise with environmental action – just head outside and pick up trash. The trend started in Sweden in 2016 and has spread worldwide since then.

Here’s how Plogging Day went at dc:

• Planned routes around our Kulmbach location
• Remote participation from anywhere – this time even international thanks to a workation in Croatia
• In small groups or solo, on your own route
• Equipped with grabbers, gloves, trash bags & snacks
• Result: lots of full bags and some unexpected finds 

Our takeaway: It’s always wild to see what ends up in nature – and super motivating to see how much we can change together 🤝
