City Cycling 2024
The dc team put in a lot of bike miles during Kulmbach's City Cycling event.
From 01.07. to 21.07.2024, the City Cycling event took place in Kulmbach. City Cycling is an initiative by the Klima-Bündnis network. The goal is for groups or individuals to cover as many kilometers as possible by bike within a set period in order to reduce individual and municipal COâ‚‚ emissions. These were tracked using the City Cycling app.
Despite having some remote employees and being based in a rural area, many colleagues consciously chose their bikes over their cars during this time. With 27 riders, we got 25% of our team excited about cycling and saved a lot of CO2 in the process - for the environment, but also to add a little variety to the workday or after-work hours. Over 21 days, the team logged more than 3,000 kilometers by bike.
