Plogging Day 2025

On April 29, 2025, it was that time again: out of the (home) office and into your sneakers - our fifth Plogging Day was on. Whether in Kulmbach, Marktredwitz or remote, the dc team was out there once again, collecting trash while jogging or walking. All in line with the motto „green beyond the logo“ - our internal sustainability concept made up of many small and big initiatives through which we actively take responsibility for our environment. What exactly is plogging?

• Plogging is a combination of „plocka“ (Swedish for „to pick up“) and jogging.
• While running or walking, trash is collected - a simple but effective way to combine environmental awareness with movement 🌍🌱
• Plogging was launched in 2016 by Swede Erik Ahlström - and since then it has inspired environmentally conscious people and athletes around the world alike.

How Plogging Day 2025 played out at dc 

• Planned routes were available at both locations in Kulmbach and Marktredwitz
• Our remote colleagues could choose their own route - as long as trash got picked up 💪🏼
• Equipped with trash grabbers, gloves, bags and care packages, everyone headed out in small groups
• A lot of full trash bags were collected - along with some pretty bizarre finds 🤯

Our takeaway: It is wild what people leave lying around out there - but also incredibly motivating to see how much you can achieve together!
