Our Plogging Day 2024

On May 23, we hosted our fourth Plogging Day. Our teams in Kulmbach and Marktredwitz got together and picked up trash as part of our sustainability concept.

What is Plogging?

Plogging combines the Swedish word "plocka" (to pick up) and "jogging." The term and the sport were created by Erik Ahlström in 2016. The idea: pick up trash while jogging. Not a fan of running? No problem—just go for a walk and do something good for the planet.

Why does dc have a Plogging Day?

How did Plogging Day 2024 go at dc?

Small groups of the dc team set out to collect trash together. We planned routes at our main offices in Kulmbach and Marktredwitz. Remote participants could choose their own route.
Everyone got trash bags, grabbers, gloves, and a care package with snacks and drinks at our offices. Then we all headed out on our routes. Once again, we filled up lots of trash bags and made our environment a little cleaner.
