Over 100 years of tradition meet digital sales channels

For more than 100 years, Wela has stood for high-quality soups, broths, seasonings, and foods made in Germany. The brand is especially known for its presence at weekly markets throughout Germany, where the characteristic yellow Wela stands have been a staple of the shopping experience for decades.

Together with dc, Wela took the next big step in 2025: digitizing a traditional sales world. With a new corporate website and a modern Shopify webshop, the products are now fully digitally accessible and can be ordered directly online.
  • Development of the new corporate website and Shopify webshop
  • Modern presentation of the brand and its product worlds for end customers
  • Integration into the existing ERP landscape as a foundation for further digitalization
  • Implementation of SEO and SEA measures to acquire new customers
  • Digital roadmap for the future networking of weekly markets, retail, and additional sales channels
Already today, hundreds of orders are placed daily via the new webshop. At the same time, the foundation is being laid for the next steps in digital transformation. Together with Wela, we are working to transfer the company's successful tradition into the digital world and unlock new potential for growth and customer loyalty.

Highlights

Weekly markets digitally connected

Customers can quickly find the right weekly markets, retailers, and points of sale in their region online and experience the brand both offline and online.

Shopify for future scaling

With Shopify, a modern e-commerce platform was created that first digitizes direct-to-consumer sales and at the same time provides the basis for additional target groups, sales channels, and digital processes.

Unlocking new target groups

Dedicated areas for end customers, retailers, professional kitchens, and industrial partners lay the foundation for expanding further digital business models.
