Plogging Day 2026

On 21.04.2026, it was time again: get outside, get active, and do something good along the way. At the dc Plogging Day, the dc team was out and about in Kulmbach, working remotely from various locations, and this year even in Croatia. As part of our sustainability concept "green beyond the logo", our colleagues collected everything that doesn't belong in nature. Super easy while walking – every step counts when it comes to our environment. 

What is Plogging?

The term comes from the Swedish "plocka" (to pick up) and jogging. The idea: combine exercise with environmental protection – just go outside and pick up trash. The trend started in Sweden in 2016 and has since spread worldwide.

This is how Plogging Day went at dc:

• Planned routes around our location in Kulmbach
• Remote participation possible from anywhere – this time even internationally due to a workation in Croatia
• In small groups or individually on your own route
• Equipped with litter pickers, gloves, trash bags & snacks
• Result: many full bags and some unexpected finds 

Our conclusion: It's always amazing what ends up in nature – and at the same time motivating to see how much you can change together 🤝
